Preserving relationships
By practicing the respectful collection and interpretation of information, we can build our future developments while understanding the past and present physical environments. There are lots of people involved when managing land resources—from regulatory agencies to clients and Indigenous peoples to private landowners. Understanding each party’s viewpoint, as well as the cultural and archaeological significance of a project site, helps us work better together and act more efficiently to complete projects with the community’s support.
For us, growing sustainably means investing locally. As projects in the energy and resource, building, water, and infrastructure sectors get closer to communities, public concerns increase.
We partner with community members during assessments, opening a window into local knowledge so we can fully appreciate the significance of each site.
Our team’s services include archaeology, paleontology, and architectural history for heritage resources, socio-cultural and economic considerations, sustainability, and Indigenous relations.
When everyone feels connected, we work better together.
Michelle Cross, Geographic Technical Leader – Cultural & Social Sciences, North America
Archaeologists are the detectives of time and history. I look forward to solving project mysteries and presenting outcomes to our clients.
Ellen Brady, Senior Associate, Environmental Services
As an archaeologist, it’s exciting to share the history of our past while helping our clients successfully accomplish their project goals.
Mark Shrimpton, Principal, Socio-Economic Services
My job is to work with clients to understand and articulate their socioeconomic requirements, making sure there is a balanced consideration of both positive and adverse potential impacts.
